"Comrade K.K." is a K.K. Slider song in the Animal Crossing series that first appeared in Doubutsu no Mori. The song is based upon ryūkōka, or early Shōwa-era popular music in Japanese. Ryūkōka combines aspects of Japanese and western folk music. The live version in particular resembles bard music, a genre that was common among amateur musicians in the former Soviet Union.

The Japanese title (Shōwa Keke Kayō, or "Shōwa-era K.K. Ballad") and album art reflect the influence of ryūkōka, while the English song title reflects the influence of bard music; the term comrade is commonly associated with Soviet Russia and communist politics.

The album cover for "Comrade K.K.", originally used for its Japanese e-Reader card, features K.K. Slider with hair, glasses, and a suit. In New Leaf, K.K.'s portrait is against a gray and beige background with writing, akin to a classic Japanese record. In New Horizons, K.K.'s portrait is against a purple background, resembling pop art from the early 20th century. The New Horizons cover reads "けけ歌謡" (Keke Kayō) in kanji, meaning "K.K. Ballad"; this is derived from the song's Japanese name, "しょうわけけかよう" (Shōwa Keke Kayō), or "Shōwa-era K.K. Ballad."

K.K.'s appearance on the album cover may be a reference to the iconic ryūkōka singer Tarō Shōji, who wore similar rounded glasses. Shōji was a prominent leftist figure who studied Marxist economics, which fits with the connotations of the title "Comrade K.K." K.K.'s appearance may also be a reference to Soviet-era Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, which relates to the Russian folk style of the song and the Japanese song title.

The song's North American e-Reader card artwork is unique, and has a more overt Russian theme. It features Weber, Iggy, Rolf, Lobo, and K.K. Slider; they are wearing buttoned-up ushanka-style hats (popularized in the Soviet era) and performing a Russian folk dance, in front of a building resembling Saint Basil's Cathedral.
