The black background has a grid of red question marks of varying thicknesses and shapes. This continues into New Leaf and New Horizons, although the latter has K.K. slightly saturated.

In Doubutsu no Mori e+

In Doubutsu no Mori e+, "Pondering" can only be requested and obtained from K.K. Slider if its e-Reader card is scanned at the Town Tune board. "Pondering" is not played in any villagers' houses. The aircheck version of the live performance can be obtained by speaking to Timmy after scanning the card.

In Wild World and City Folk

In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, "Pondering" is played in Monty's house.

In New Leaf

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, "Pondering" is played in the houses of Claude, Cobb, Doc, Monty, and Murphy. It also plays in Pascal's RV, and a Music Box of the song's aircheck is placed inside of it.

K.K. Slider has the aircheck of the song's live performance placed as a piece of furniture inside of his RV.

In New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, "Pondering" is played in the houses of Caroline, Claude, Cobb, Del, Doc, Hopkins, and Petri. The aircheck of this song can be obtained from one of these villagers after visiting their house by their favor. This song's aircheck can also be purchased in Nook Shopping daily selection for  3,200 Bells.
