Farewell
"Farewell" is a K.K. Slider song that first appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf as a live-only performance, and with an aircheck version in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The song has a minimalist, repetitive melody consisting of ascending scales, using an effect called the Shepard tone, which gives the impression of an endlessly ascending melody. Matching this, the album art has a looping image of K.K. waving "farewell" while walking away. The aircheck uses piano and xylophone, with some synth embellishments.
Album cover
The album cover for "Farewell" features K.K. Slider with a guitar strapped to his back as he walks rightward and waves with his left hand. Still-frames of K.K. in motion are situated on either side of him. The background is mostly blue, divided by a diagonal line near the top where the remainder of the background is filled with blue-white. The word "FAREWELL" is depicted in white on the blue section of the background, centered slightly above K.K.'s head.
