"Farewell" is a song by K.K. Slider that first appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf as a live-only performance, and with an aircheck version in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It can only be heard in New Leaf when making an invalid song request to K.K. Slider. When requested in New Horizons, K.K. will acknowledge it as a secret song.
The song has a minimalist, repetitive melody consisting of ascending scales, using an effect called the Shepard tone, which gives the impression of an endlessly ascending melody. Matching this, the album art has a looping image of K.K. waving "farewell" while walking away. The aircheck uses piano and xylophone, with some synth embellishments.
In New Horizons, it is owned by Boomer, Cashmere, Cube, Diana, Friga and Lily.
