"Imperial K.K." is a K.K. Slider song that first appears in Doubutsu no Mori. It is based on the traditional Chinese music, and derives its name from China's history as an imperial state prior to the downfall of the Qing dynasty in 1912. It has a gong, a few Asian gamelans, lutes, horns, and other Asian percussion.

Trivia

  • On Nintendo's Doubutsu no Mori website, a "comment from development" (most likely composer Toru Minegishi) stated that they aimed for Imperial K.K. to be a misunderstood version of traditional Chinese music, and that K.K. himself is not aware of the misunderstanding.[1]
