"Marine Song 2001" is one of K.K. Slider's songs. It is based on the tune Kapp'n sings in the original Japanese version of Animal Crossing, which was altered in all localized versions. The number "2001" in the song's title alludes to the year Doubutsu no Mori was released. The aircheck version is by far the longest of K.K. Slider's songs, as it continues without looping for nearly three and a half minutes.
Ankha, Coach, Scoot, and Mott have this song playing in their houses. It also plays in Kapp'n's taxi in Animal Crossing: Wild World (a remixed version officially referred to as "Heavy Rotation"), his bus in Animal Crossing: City Folk, and in his RV in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo.
