"K.K. Ska" is a K.K. Slider song that first appears in Doubutsu no Mori. Ska is a Jamaican genre from the late 1950s, combining American rhythm and blues with Jamaica's traditional mento, which is characterized by usage of brass instruments, jazzy basslines, and a strong emphasis on the off beats. While the live version resembles classic Jamaican ska, the aircheck is based on two-tone ska, a fusion of traditional ska with punk and new wave, which was popularized in England in the late 1970s. The aircheck is fast-paced and includes a punk-style electric guitar and drumkit, in addition to the walking bassline and brass ensemble.
Album cover
The album cover for "K.K. Ska" features Barold on an electric keyboard, Elise on a trombone, Eugene on a trumpet, K.K. Slider on a saxophone, and Bud on an electric guitar or bass. Additionally, the artwork is done entirely in black and white, another characteristic element of two-tone. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the title is written in the top-right corner.
