The Spooky Series is a furniture series that first appears in Doubutsu no Mori. The Japanese name is the Halloween Series. All items are orange with a jack-o'-lantern design. As with other seasonal furniture series, the Spooky Series does not appear in Animal Crossing: Wild World. With the exception of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, all items' sell prices ( 1,031 Bells in New Leaf,  10,310 Bells in Animal Crossing and City Folk) reference the date of Halloween in the month-year format: 10/31.

No villagers own items from the Spooky Series inside of their houses.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the series can be purchased from the Nooklings' store during October for 4,124 Bells each. Jack no longer gives out pieces of the Spooky Series and instead hands out pieces of the Creepy Theme, which was previously a DLC collection in Animal Crossing: City Folk. One new item, the spooky wall lamp, is introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Spooky Series receives a redesign that differs from its earlier incarnations. The series was initially absent from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but it was added to the game with the 1.5.0 Fall Update. Throughout October, the Spooky Series can be either purchased from Nook's Cranny, crafted with pumpkins using recipes learned from villagers, or by giving villagers candy on Halloween. Although the spooky treats basket and spooky wand are also crafted using pumpkins and share the "spooky" name, they are not considered part of the Spooky Series.
