Monster Hunter
Monster Hunter is a media franchise of various action role-playing video games developed by Capcom that has crossover content in the Animal Crossing series. Beginning in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, items based on the Monster Hunter franchise have appeared, as well as a villager named Felyne. The Monster Hunter items and Felyne would later return in Animal Crossing: New Leaf in the Welcome amiibo update.

In Happy Home Designer[edit]
Felyne first appeared in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer as DLC, with Monster Hunter crossover items. In North America, Felyne was distributed from November 2, 2015 to November 30, 2015 via Nintendo Zone, and November 9, 2015 to December 8, 2016 via SpotPass.
In Welcome amiibo[edit]
Felyne returns in the Welcome amiibo update for New Leaf, now available if one of the six amiibo figures from the Monster Hunter Stories line is scanned. In addition to all the previous Monster Hunter items in Happy Home Designer making a return, three more items were added: the Nabiru mask, Nabiru ornament, and Otomon egg.
