Jinjitsu (known as Nanakusa Gayu in New Horizons) is an event celebrated in Doubutsu no Mori+ and New Horizons that occurs on January 7. Jinjitsu is a Japanese holiday also known for nanakusa-no-sekku, the custom of eating seven-herb porridge (nanakusa gayu). In Doubutsu no Mori+ the holiday is called Seven Herbs Day (ななくさのひ Nanakusa no hi?).

In Doubutsu no Mori+, Tortimer will appear in the player's town between 10 AM and 6 PM. When spoken to, he will give them a Weed Model. This event was replaced with Founder's Day in international versions of Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
While not actually celebrated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, since Version 2.0 Jinjitsu is celebrated as a Nook Shopping seasonal event from January 5 – 7, during which the Nanakusa Gayu can be ordered for 
1,200 Bells.
