Founder's Day is an event in Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+ that occurs on August 21. It is held in honor of the establishment of the player's town and its founders. During the event, Tortimer appears near the wishing well. When spoken, he informs the player about the founding of their village and gives them a weed model, stating that he hopes whenever the player looks at it, they will remember the contributions of the town's founders.
