The Night of the Thirteenth Moon (十三夜の月 Jūsan'ya no tsuki?) is an event in Doubutsu no Mori and Doubutsu no Mori+ that occurs in October or November. The date of this event varies each year, as it occurs on the thirteenth day of the ninth lunar month.
The event is a moon viewing similar to the Harvest Moon Festival, which occurs on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. In Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+, the event was functionally replaced by the meteor shower.

In Doubutsu no Mori[edit]
In Doubutsu no Mori, during the festival, the moon's reflection can be seen in the lake, which villagers will gather around.
The event was removed in Dòngwù Sēnlín due to being a Japanese holiday, although the Mid-Autumn Festival remained. However, the code forcing clear weather on the day it would occur was left over.
In Doubutsu no Mori+[edit]
In Doubutsu no Mori+, the moon viewing remains the same, but Tortimer will also appear by the lake and give the player a Moon if spoken to.
