April is the fourth month of the year. It is the second month of spring in the northern hemisphere and the second month of fall in the southern hemisphere. In the northern hemisphere, the first few days of April will have all trees (except for cedar, fruit, and palm trees) transform into cherry blossom trees that gradually spew out cherry blossoms across the sky. Exclusively in New Horizons, the player can catch these petals for DIY recipes. In the southern hemisphere, the grass and trees eventually lose their green, transforming their colors into shades of yellow. More bugs, fishes, and sea creatures are expected to leave after this month.
