The Picnic Basket is a miscellaneous item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As a miscellaneous item, it can be placed on either the ground or on top of a tabletop.

The Picnic Basket can be obtained from either the Resident Services Tent (bought from Timmy) or Nook's Cranny for  1,300 Bells. As an outdoor item, it will provide an additional 0.5 development points towards the island rating.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Beau, Biskit, Cally, Dom, Ketchup, Maddie, Norma, Poppy, Prince, Rex, Spork, and Sylvana. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Anicotti, Beau, Bertha, Biskit, Broccolo, Chelsea, Drake, Gonzo, Leonardo, Lucy, Mac, Maple, Melba, Nana, Patty, Poppy, Sally, and Soleil.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Beau, Bertha, Biskit, and Nana require this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home.
