"Sometimes a flower is just a flower, unless it causes fires."
— Fortune #20, Animal Crossing: New Leaf

The Fire Flower is a furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is part of the Mario Theme. It can be placed on the surface of tables and other similar furniture that have surfaces for items. If this item is placed on the ground however, it is penalized by the Happy Home Academy by 1 point per each item. This item is based on the power-up of the same name, which allows Mario to turn into Fire Mario.

The Fire Flower can be obtained from redeeming fortune #20 to either Timmy or Tommy at their store after eating a fortune cookie.

No villagers have this item in their home, nor do any characters have this item in their RV.

Notes

  1. If this item is facing a wall in the player's house, the HHA will deduct 100 points from the total score. If the player is doing a theme challenge, that penalty will increase to 10,000 points.

  3. Filly and Holden cannot legitimately move to the player's town via normal gameplay, but a default house layout can be observed via hacking. They share the same housing layout.
