The exotic lamp is a customizable furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is part of the Exotic Series. It can be placed on the surface of tables and other similar furniture that have surfaces for items. If this item is placed on the ground however, it is penalized by the Happy Home Academy by 1 point per each item. The player can interact with this item to turn it on and off.
The exotic lamp can be obtained from Timmy and Tommy's store for 1,800 Bells.[nb 2] The item's furniture color can be customized by Cyrus for 180 Bells.
This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Bill, Chester, Chow, Drago, Jambette, Opal, Pekoe, Poppy, Rory, Rowan, Shari, Soleil, Tammi, Tom, Violet, and Walt. As a result, this item can be purchased by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers. These villagers may also put this item up for sale at the Re-Tail flea market for 50% to 90% of the item's buy price, in increments of 10%.
