- "Gainsborough was known for his innovative use of colors in his traditional portraits, like this one. Although he preferred painting landscapes, his portraits would be the defining work of his career."
- — Art description
The basic painting is a wall-mounted furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 1.2.0 April Free Update. In addition to walls, it can be placed on the floor, being displayed on an easel. As a painting, it can be donated to the museum. It also has a forgery version that cannot be donated or sold. The artwork depicts The Blue Boy, drawn circa 1770 by English artist Thomas Gainsborough.
The basic painting can be obtained from Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler or Redd's Co-Op on Harv's Island for 4,980 Bells or from any villager in the mailbox.
No villagers have this item in their home.
In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Alice, Marlo, and Skye.
