Ace is a jock bird villager in the Animal Crossing series. He appears in Doubutsu no Mori, Doubutsu no Mori+, Animal Crossing, Doubutsu no Mori e+, and returns in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with the 2.0 Update. His name's origin and catchphrase may come from the ace of spades, a symbol used in card games that is on his default shirt prior to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He shares his catchphrase with Rod. According to his e-Reader card profile, his house in Animal Crossing, and his house request in Happy Home Paradise, Ace has a fascination with fishing. Masa's e-Reader card profile describes Ace as his fishing buddy.

In New Horizons, Ace has the nature hobby and may be found reading a book pertaining to an item he is studying, which can be either flowers, bugs, fish, or fossils.

Appearance[edit]

Ace is a blue bird with a cream face and stomach, and cream-tipped wings. His tail feathers are blue, orange, and cream. He has orange ellipse-shaped spots on his cheeks, a yellow beak, and black-dotted eyes that are directly adjacent to long, black eyebrows.

As a jock villager, Ace is energetic and has an interest in physical fitness and activity. He often talks about exercise or sports and may brag about his physical fitness. While often friendly to the player, he may comment on their fitness. During conversations with other villagers, he generally gets along well with peppy villagers due to their similar hyper personalities and will also get along with smug villagers, while he may offend snooty villagers by critiquing their fitness and annoy cranky villagers with his hyper personality. In New Horizons, Ace goes to sleep at 12:30 AM and wakes up at 6:30 AM.
