Mayor's Day is an event that takes place on the day after the first Monday of November in Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+. If the player talks to Tortimer, who is at the wishing well from 10 AM to 6 PM, he will give them a Well Model. If talked to afterward, he will thank the player for their support and talk about being the "newly elected" mayor. Mayor's Day is likely based on Election Day in the United States, which is held on the same day.
In Doubutsu no Mori+, Mayor's Day is instead held on September 15 to correlate to Respect for the Aged Day. [nb 3]
