The fake neutral painting is a wall-mounted furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In addition to walls, it can be placed on the floor, being displayed on an easel. Compared to the real painting, the fake neutral painting has the large leaf on the top-left with a hole, resembling the furniture icon in the Animal Crossing series. As a forgery, it cannot be sold nor donated to the museum, and attempting to sell the item to Re-Tail will result in a  100 Bells fine to dispose the item.

The fake neutral painting can be obtained from Redd's Gallery for  3,920 Bells.

No villagers have this item in their home, nor do any characters have this item in their RV.

Notes

  1. If this item is facing a wall in the player's house, the HHA will deduct 100 points from the total score. If the player is doing a theme challenge, that penalty will increase to 10,000 points.
  2. Filly and Holden cannot legitimately move to the player's town via normal gameplay, but a default house layout can be observed via hacking. They share the same housing layout.
