The kitchen island is a houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Since version 2.0, the player can interact with this item for cooking food items. The item's top surface can be used to place smaller items, such as miscellaneous furniture.

The kitchen island can be obtained from the upgraded Nook's Cranny for 170,000 Bells. The item's frame can be customized by Cyrus at Harv's Island for 7,200 Bells.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Annalise, Bettina, Chevre, Eloise, Flo, Gigi, Lolly, Merengue, Nan, Pancetti, Portia, and Sylvia. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Annalise, Apple, Ava, Axel, Bluebear, Chadder, Chai, Ed, Flurry, Frett, Lopez, Paolo, Rilla, Twiggy, and Willow. The item can also be unlocked when tasked by Lottie to design the restaurant.
