The hero's cap is a headgear item in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is part of the hero look. This item acts as a hat, meaning an accessory can be worn with it. Wearing this item will prevent the player from developing tans. It is based on the cap worn by Link in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
The hero's cap can be obtained from redeeming fortune #8 to either Timmy or Tommy at their store after eating a fortune cookie.
