The hanging sign is a customizable ceiling decor furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. As a ceiling decor item, it cannot be placed on the same location as a partition wall or a pillar.

The hanging sign can be obtained from either Nook's Cranny for  840 Bells or the Paradise Planning office for  760 Poki. The item's variation pattern can be customized either by using 1 customization kit or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,000 Bells. When customizing the item's variation pattern, the player can use one of Sable's patterns or their own custom designs.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Agnes, Anchovy, Canberra, Carmen, Cheri, Elise, Elmer, Fang, Naomi, Olive, Peggy, Petri, and Pippy. The item can also be unlocked when tasked by Lottie to design the apparel shop.

After unlocking this item in Happy Home Paradise, the item can be purchased from Wardell's catalog.
