The bus stop is a furniture item in every first-generation Animal Crossing game.
The bus stop can be obtained from Tom Nook's store for 820 Bells.[nb 2] It does not have any color for the purpose of fêng shui.
In Doubutsu no Mori, this item appears in the homes of Prince and Pudge.
In Doubutsu no Mori+, this item appears in the homes of Prince and Pudge.
In Animal Crossing, this item appears in the homes of Lucky, Ozzie, and Spork.
In Doubutsu no Mori e+, this item appears in the homes of Avery, Lucky, Ozzie, and Spork.
In Dòngwù Sēnlín, this item appears in the homes of Prince and Pudge.
For villagers who have this item placed on the floor in their house, there is a chance that the villager will gift it to the player.
Version differences
In Doubutsu no Mori and Doubutsu no Mori+, the bus stop has a more traditionally Japanese design. Doubutsu no Mori e+ retains the design from Animal Crossing. In Dòngwù Sēnlín, the bus stop has the same design as the Japanese one only with Chinese lettering.
Leftover dummy item
In Animal Crossing, in addition to the redesigned bus stop present in the final game, the original bus stop from Doubutsu no Mori+ is still leftover in the game data as a dummy item, unobtainable without gameplay modification or glitches. It has the unused name "bus stop" and uses the dummy model, a white triangle with red Japanese text reading ダミー (damī, dummy). Its name was also translated to other languages in the European version of Animal Crossing, with the name "parada autobús" in Spanish, "arrêt de bus" in French, "Bushaltestelle" in German, and "fermata bus" in Italian.
The item remains unused in Doubutsu no Mori e+, where, as with all dummy items in that game, its name appears as "かぐ?" (kagu?, furniture?) in the player's inventory. However, when dropped on the ground outside, its name from Doubutsu no Mori+ is shown. The item appears as the same dummy model but cannot be placed down in the player's house if in their inventory.
