The document stack is a customizable miscellaneous furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As a miscellaneous item, it can be placed on either the ground or on the surfaces of tables and other similar furniture items that have surfaces for items.

The document stack can be obtained from Nook's Cranny or crafting, which requires scattered papers. The recipe for this item can be obtained from smug villagers, either when they are crafting in their house, or when the player receives their message bottle from the beach. The item's writing pattern can be customized either by using 2 customization kits or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,700 Bells. When customizing the item's writing pattern, the player can use one of their own custom designs.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Beardo, Billy, Cleo, Cobb, Dobie, Eugene, Gala, Leopold, Marlo, Raymond, and Sterling. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Bitty, Boris, Chevre, Curly, Gala, Gaston, Graham, Hazel, June, Lolly, Monty, Mott, Murphy, Ricky, Sprocket, Sydney, Tabby, and Velma. The item can also be unlocked when tasked by Lottie to design the hospital.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Monty and Sydney require this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home.

After unlocking this item in Happy Home Paradise, the item can be purchased from Wardell's catalog for  1,400 Poki.
