The traffic guidance robot (こうつうゆうどうロボ koutsuu yuudou robo?) is a furniture item in Doubutsu no Mori and Doubutsu no Mori+. It is part of the Construction Theme. It is replaced by the yellow sand pile in Dòngwù Sēnlín.

The traffic guidance robot can be obtained from Tom Nook's store for  2,300 Bells.[nb 2] For the purpose of fêng shui, its color is yellow.

In Doubutsu no Mori, this item appears in the homes of Sandy and Spike.

In Doubutsu no Mori+, this item appears in the homes of Sandy and Spike.

For villagers who have this item placed on the floor in their house, there is a chance that the villager will gift it to the player.

Version differences

Leftover dummy item

The dummy model used by unused items in Animal Crossing.

In Animal Crossing, the traffic guidance robot is still leftover in the game data as a dummy item, unobtainable without gameplay modification or glitches. It has the unused name "robotic flagman" and uses the dummy model, a white triangle with red Japanese text reading ダミー (damī, dummy). Its name was also translated to other languages in the European version of Animal Crossing, with the name "robot aviso" in Spanish, "méca-drapeau" in French, "Mann mit Fahne" in German, and "robosegnale" in Italian.

It remains unused in Doubutsu no Mori e+, where, as with all dummy items in that game, its name appears as "かぐ?" (kagu?, furniture?) in the player's inventory. However, when dropped on the ground outside, its name from Doubutsu no Mori+ is shown. The item appears as the same dummy model but cannot be placed down in the player's house if in their inventory.
