The Mini DIY Workbench can be obtained from crafting, which requires 3× Wood, 3× Hardwood, 3× Softwood, and 2× Iron Nugget. The recipe for this item can be obtained from the Test Your DIY Skills item. The physical recipe is unobtainable as of version 1.11.0, and will disappear if flown or kept between play sessions. The item's paint color can be customized either by using 4 Customization Kits or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  3,100 Bells.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Ace, Antonio, Apple, Drake, Filbert, Flurry, Frobert, Goldie, Goose, Kody, Lolly, Megan, Pippy, Rudy, and Sasha.
