The staircase dresser can be obtained from Crazy Redd's Furniture Emporium for  2,250 Bells, Wisp, a treasure hunt, or trees when the player has good luck. It does not have any color for the purpose of fêng shui.

In Doubutsu no Mori, this item appears in the homes of Betty, Huck, Kabuki, and Rizzo.

In Doubutsu no Mori+, this item appears in the homes of Betty, Huck, Kabuki, and Rizzo.

For villagers who have this item placed on the floor in their house, there is a chance that the villager will gift it to the player.

Version differences

Leftover dummy item

The dummy model used by unused items in Animal Crossing.

In Animal Crossing, the staircase dresser is still leftover in the game data as a dummy item, unobtainable without gameplay modification or glitches. It has the unused name "tansu" and uses the dummy model, a white triangle with red Japanese text reading ダミー (damī, dummy). Its name was also translated to other languages in the European version of Animal Crossing, with the name "tansu" in Spanish, "tansu" in French, "Tansu-Kommode" in German, and "tansu" in Italian.
