To see Serena, you must first unlock the fountain by donating 500,000 [[Bells]] (in addition to the 200,000 Bells that are needed for the extra bridge) to the Town Fund. Talk to [[Pelly]] to donate the bells. Then after the fountain is built, you must  throw an axe into the fountain. To throw the axe, make a horizontal swipe across in front of you.
