Town and City is a stage in the Super Smash Bros. series based on the town and city from Animal Crossing: City Folk. The stage's layout nearly resembles that of Smashville, another Animal Crossing-themed Super Smash Bros. stage. Isabelle has to be fought on this stage when unlocking her outside of World of Light in Ultimate.

Town and City is one of the few legal stages for competitive play in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Layout[edit]

Town and City is set hovering over an Animal Crossing town, but it will travel between the town and the city. When in the town, the stage has three small platforms, and in the city, the stage has two platforms. The time of day will change depending on the system's clock, meaning that depending on the time of day, players may fight the stage in the morning, noon, evening, or at night. Balloons will appear occasionally to drop foods or items.

Several Animal Crossing characters are spectators and will appear to watch the battle. The selection of spectators will change depending on where the stage is. Characters like Brewster, Pelly, and Mabel will only appear in the town, while characters like Gracie and Dr. Shrunk will only appear in the city. K.K. Slider will also appear to perform songs on Saturday nights at 8:00 PM, but he will only be seen in the town section of Town and City.

Town and City's Ω form removes the moving platforms, balloons, and background characters, while its Ω form in Ultimate resizes the main platform to resemble Final Destination. Town and City's Battlefield form features three soft platforms that resemble the moving platform. Regardless of what form the stage is fought on, Town and City will still move around between its town and city portions. If hazards are off in Ultimate, then balloons will not appear and the moving platform will only move if moving between the town and city sections.

Description	Get a bird's-eye view of the town and city from Animal Crossing: City Folk as you fight on a platform overhead. Your Wii U console's clock dictates the time of day and which animals and places appear. Don't get too distracted by all that, though, because the platform itself is pretty simple-perfect for a battle of skill!
