Sheep are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. Their wool can vary in color and style, but all sheep have large curled horns, and they also seem to lack the ears of their real-life counterparts. In all Animal Crossing series media up to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, sheep wear scarves bearing a clothing's design around their neck. However, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they can now wear clothing around their torso like other villager species.
There are sixteen sheep villagers, of which eleven are female and five are male, making it a predominantly female species. Of these, four are normal, four are snooty, three are jock, two are smug, two are big sister, and one is peppy. There are no lazy or, as of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, cranky sheep, as Curlos was reclassified from cranky to smug.
Gen and Woolio are the only sheep who have not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+. All of the sheep who appear in New Horizons also appear in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

- The sheep is the only species in Animal Crossing: New Leaf in which all of its villagers share a fear during Halloween, with said fear being the werewolf hood.
