Otters are a species of animal in the Animal Crossing series. Pascal is the only sea otter to have appeared in the series. Lyle was the only river otter up until the release of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, where Lottie made her appearance as the third otter and the second river otter in the series. Phineas resembles an otter, but he's actually a fur seal.
