Hedgehogs are a species in the Animal Crossing series. They have pointy noses, round ears and spikes on the back of their heads. There are currently three hedgehog characters, all of which are special characters: Mabel and Sable, who run the Able Sisters shop, and their sister Label, who first appears in Animal Crossing: City Folk as Labelle. The three hedgehogs reveal more about themselves and their family after players talk to them for a while. It takes twelve days (ten in Animal Crossing: New Leaf) to become a friend of Sable.
