The garden bench is a customizable houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The player is able to sit on this item. As an outdoor item, it will provide an additional 0.5 development points towards the island rating.

The garden bench can be obtained from crafting, which requires 12× wood and 4× iron nugget. The recipe for this item can be obtained from snooty villagers, either when they are crafting in their house, or when the player receives their message bottle from the beach. The item's frame can be customized either by using 6 customization kits or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for 4,500 Bells.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Derwin, Gloria, Mallary, and Winnie. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Anabelle, Annalise, Beardo, Beau, Boots, Broffina, Cally, Colton, Dotty, Ione, Julia, Maggie, Nana, Naomi, Norma, Poppy, Sheldon, and Wade.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, this item is required as one of the chairs for the dining hall at the café, as one of the chairs for the waiting area at the hospital, as one of the chairs for the dining hall at the restaurant, and as one of the chairs for the classroom at the school.
