Real-world information[edit]
The Great Wave off Kanagawa a woodblock print that is the most famous work of Hokusai. This print was part of a series called "36 Views of Mount Fuji" - on close inspection of the painting, Mount Fuji is visible on the horizon. Other than the mountain, the print depicts three boats struggling against huge waves near Kanagawa.
