The katana is a customizable houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Until version 2.0, the katana was a miscellaneous item. However, the item can be placed on either the ground or on the surfaces of tables and other similar furniture items that have surfaces for items.

The katana can be obtained from Gulliver as a reward for finding his five Communicator Parts. The item's variation can be customized either by using 4 customization kits or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for 3,100 Bells. This item is lucky, meaning it gives a 777-point Happy Home Academy bonus when placed in the player's house.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Ken. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, no villagers or facility unlock this item for designing. It can only be used once the player's catalog is unlocked after completing the 27th vacation home.
