Lopez is a smug deer villager in the Animal Crossing series. He first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and has appeared in all subsequent games except Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. His name comes from "antelopes," animals that bear a resemblance to deer. His catchphrase is a play on "buck," meaning a male antelope or deer. His Japanese catchphrase is a play on "gazelle."

In New Horizons, Lopez has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.

Lopez is a yellow-orange and white deer with gray horns and black hooves. Although Lopez's species is a deer, his design is based on an antelope, most closely resembling the Thomson's gazelle.
