Goats are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They have heads that are wider at the top, hooves, small ears, and short, slightly backwards-curving horns. Along with this, five of the goats have a beard, including Velma, the only female goat with this trait.

Several goats were removed after Doubutsu no Mori e+, leaving Chevre as the only goat to appear in all games and Nan as the only other goat to appear in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. However, many goats returned in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, including Billy in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, and the goat Pashmina made her first appearance in this game.

There are ten goat villagers, of which six are male and four are female, making it a predominantly male species. Of these, two are lazy, two are normal, two are jock, one is cranky, one is snooty, one is big sister, and one is smug. Kidd was originally a lazy islander before becoming a smug villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. There are currently no peppy goats. All of the goats who appear in New Horizons also appear in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Iggy and Sven are the only goats who have not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+.
