The clam chowder is a miscellaneous furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. As a miscellaneous item, it can be placed on either the ground or on the surfaces of tables and other similar furniture items that have surfaces for items. The clam chowder is edible and by eating it, the player will earn five energy points to be able to relocate trees or break rocks.
The clam chowder can be obtained from cooking, which requires 1× Flour and 3× Manila Clam. The recipe for this item can be obtained from the Turkey Day Recipes pack, from either Franklin or Nook's Cranny for 9,800 Bells.
No villagers have this item in their home.
In Happy Home Paradise, no villagers or facility unlock this item for designing. It can only be used once the player's DIY catalog is unlocked after completing the 15th vacation home.
Trivia
- The clam chowder was previously added in version 1.6.0 as a Turkey Day dish that was unobtainable and was only used as a model. The clam chowder could be created by Franklin after the player gives him three Manila Clam.
