Kapp'n

Kappa are a species in Animal Crossing series. The first Kappa to appear is Kapp'n in Doubutsu no Mori+; Animal Crossing: New Leaf introduces the rest of Kapp'ns family, however: his mother, Grams, his wife, Leilani, and his daughter, Leila. In every non-Japanese versions of the game, Kapp'n is a turtle. This is most likely to avoid confusion, as Kappas are mythical creatures often seen in Japanese culture. Most likely, the rest of Kapp'n's family will be considered turtles in non-Japanese versions.
