Trivia
- When placed down, the snapping turtle does not have any form of tank or container, simply staying in place. If interacted with, it hisses and snaps its jaws.
Real-world information
The common snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina) is native to North America and can be found east of the Continental Divide throughout the United States and parts of Canada. It is known for being highly combative out of water, with powerful beak-like jaws that it is named for, but they are more passive in the water, preferring to hide in the mud instead.
