There are twenty dog villagers in the Animal Crossing series, and eight special dog characters, making dogs the species with the most special characters. There are twelve male dog villagers and eight female dog villagers. Of these, seven are lazy, two are jocks, two are cranky, one is smug, three are normal, three are peppy, one is snooty, and one is big sister. Bow, Frett, Masa, and Megumi are the only dog villagers which have yet to reappear after Doubutsu no Mori e+.
