Real-world information
Soft-shelled turtles spend most of their time swimming around in the water, but can be seen basking in the sun on land. They live near ponds, rivers, and marshes, mostly in southeastern South Carolina, Southern Georgia, and Florida. Soft-shelled turtles can eat snails, fish, crustaceans, insects, and very rarely small birds.
