The Magazine Rack can be obtained from crafting, which requires 2× Magazine and 4× Wood. The recipe for this item can be obtained from peppy villagers. The item's body color and magazine pattern can be customized by using 2 Customization Kits.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Bunnie, Maple, Sandy, Tabby, and Tammy. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.
