NIWA logo.png

Cross-Wiki Week is an event hosted by NIWA each September in celebration of Nintendo's birthday on September 23. From September 20–30, 2024, everyone is invited to constructively edit NIWA wikis that they have never (or infrequently) edited before. Whether it's adding some new content, uploading an image, or adding a reference, we want you to take your experience and love for Nintendo to a new wiki. At the end of the event, submit your contributions using the button at the bottom of this page. Two random participants will win a $20/€20 Nintendo eShop Gift Card! Be sure to have an account registered on the wiki(s) you're editing so your contributions can be tracked.

Nookipedia will be participating in the event, and some examples of work that needs to be done around the site are presented below. Experienced wiki editors may want to check Nookipedia:Maintenance for a full breakdown of all ongoing wiki maintenance projects. If you'd like to participate by editing Nookipedia, be sure to create an account here.

Feel free to post any questions on the The Roost or on Discord in one of the #wiki channels.

NIWA Staff: Staff members from other NIWA wikis who have a Discord account may contact an Administrator, Bureaucrat, or Director via DM to request autopatrolled rights.

To-do list[edit]

  • Our villager pages could use house descriptions. At the top of villager house sections, add a description describing common themes and changes to the villager's house throughout the series. Examples available on Eunice and Alfonso.
  • Add "Appearance" sections to our New Horizons wallpaper and floor pages to describe what they look like. Example at Underwater Wall. Screenshots of all walls and floors located here and here, respectively.
  • Restructure and populate our fossil pages with info for Animal Crossing, Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf using our new fossil info templates. Our New Horizons info is already complete - see Brachiosaurus for an example for how to replicate.
  • Work on our Pocket Camp coverage; visit Project Pocket Camp for more info. Coverage needed includes Gyroidite Scavenger Events, fortune cookie sets, Happy Homeroom puzzles, and memories.
    • With Pocket Camp soon to shut down its online services within two months, it is also important to archive many assets from the game as possible. This include images for banners, furniture, clothing, and icons not yet present.
  • Our merchandise coverage needs lots of expansion! Help expand our existing lists and create new ones. Use the following templates to document merchandise:
{{MerchSeries|
{{MerchCell|image=Bluebear Plush.jpg|name=Bluebear plush|characters=Bluebear}}
{{MerchCell|image=Bunnie Plush.jpg|name=Bunnie plush|characters=Bunnie}}
}}
  • Add "Characteristics" sections to our special character pages. See Redd#Characteristics for an example.

Write a synopsis for Pocket Camp memories[edit]

Pocket Camp Memory pages that need a synopsis:
  • Be sure to remove the {{Stub}} template from the Synopsis section when completed in order to remove the article from this list.
