Hopkins vs. Roald: A Friendly Competition is a Scrapbook Memory in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. To unlock this memory, the player must obtain a Nintendo Switch NB/NR.

Synopsis

The memory opens with Hopkin walking in on Roald who is confused as to how the Nintendo Switch NR/NB item works. The Nintendo Switch NR/NB is placed on a modern table. Having finally found him, Hopkins thinks Roald has got his game face on and invites Roald to play on the switch with him. Roald waves at Hopkins and agrees to his challenge but wonders where they could find a console. Insulting Roald, Hopkins makes him aware that a console is already there. Roald was shocked and bashfully thought they were fancy weights. Roald is then confused about how they are going to play. Hopkins excitedly tells Roald that you can play it anywhere. Laughing at his own joke, Hopkins corrects himself by saying that you can't play it in the river, but newbies can pick it up and play too. Hopkins once again questions Roald about playing the console. Sure of not losing, Roald once again accepts the challenge. Speaking highly of his gaming skills, Hopkins says to press start. The screen fades white, then fades to the pair playing the switch. Roald then realizes he is player two. A blue text bubble appears above the pair, saying that they put their gaming skills to the test and now we know who's the real winner.
