An Extra Spooky Surprise is a Scrapbook Memory in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. To unlock this memory, the player must obtain a Frightful Manor.

Synopsis

After trying to take a shortcut back to the campsite, Dotty, Kiki, and Vic find themselves in a frightening village containing a large manor. Shuddering fearfully, Kiki realizes she recognizes the village from a ghost story involving the "king of monsters," who finds a new place to reside around Halloween each year. She mentions it to the others, worrying Dotty, who suggests leaving immediately. Suddenly, there is a loud bang, and Lucky flies out from the manor with bat wings on his back. Dotty shrieks that the king of monsters is here, then flees with the others. Lucky hurries after them, telling them to wait for him. Believing that the three are being chased, Kiki tells everyone to run for their lives.

Everyone runs across the village for some time, and eventually Dotty, Kiki, and Vic run out of stamina. Lucky is finally able to catch up to them, and they are surprised to see him. Lucky apologizes for scaring everyone, then explains that he set up the village because he wanted to make the atmosphere spooky in the time leading up to Halloween. He explains that he had only scared them because he was presented with the perfect opportunity to do so. Kiki then asks Lucky if he is the rumored king of monsters, but he is unfamiliar with the story. Lucky recalls once hearing someone scream nearby, and this reveals to the three that he is indeed the source of the rumor.

After taking a moment to observe the spooky décor of the campsite, Dotty suggests throwing a Halloween party there. Later, the campers are shown celebrating in the village with plenty of snacks.
