The betta is a fish introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It appears as a small shadow that can be found in rivers from 9 AM to 4 PM from late spring to mid fall, and it sells for 2,500 Bells.
It has also appeared in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp during the Fishing Tourney: Terrarium event alongside Gourami and Crystal Red Shrimp.
