List of mistakes and incorrect information[edit]

Animal Crossing[edit]

  • The guide states that the player starts off with no money.[2] However, the player starts with 1,000 Bells.
  • The guide states that jock villagers wake up at 6 AM.[3] They actually wake up at 5:30 AM.
  • The guide states that normal villagers wake up at 9 AM and go to sleep at 3 AM.[3] They actually wake up at 5 AM and go to sleep at 9 PM.
  • The guide states that snooty villagers wake up at 7 AM and go to sleep at 12:00 AM.[3] They actually wake up at 9 AM and go to sleep at 2:30 AM.
  • The guide states that peppy villagers wake up at 5:00 AM and go to sleep at 9:00 PM.[4] They actually wake up at 7 AM and go to sleep at 11:30 PM.
  • The guide states that both the main room expansion and basement addition for the player's house cost 49,800 Bells.[5] In reality, only the expansion the player chooses to do first costs 49,800 Bells; the other costs 148,000.
  • The guide misspells Blanca as "Bianca".[5]
  • The guide lists a character named "Mr. Racketti". His description, "Chilled out groundhog," suggests this is meant to be Don Resetti; however, the artwork displayed next to the name is that of Mr. Resetti during Groundhog Day.[5]
  • The guide erroneously uses artwork of Farley for the snowman. Farley himself is not listed in the list of characters.[6]
  • The guide lists Timmy and Tommy's full names as "Timmy Nookling" and "Tommy Nookling".[6] Their last name is not revealed in-game; however, in subsequent media it is revealed to simply be "Nook".
  • The guide misspells Wisp as "Whisp".[6]
  • The guide lists Wendell as a "Traveling (and hungry) carpet seller." Wendell only offers the player wallpaper and does not sell it.[6]
  • The guide erroneously uses artwork of Jane for June.[7]

City Folk[edit]

New Leaf[edit]

  • The guide states that the silver axe is unbreakable.[12] In reality, it breaks after 136 uses; only the golden axe is unbreakable.
  • The guide states that Kicks is a fox,[13] when he is actually a skunk.
  • The guide lists the buy price of the throne as 8,000 Bells,[14] when it is actually 800,000.
