The princess dress can be obtained from the Able Sisters for 5,500 Bells.

No villagers wear this item as their default outfit.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Elise, Elvis, and Penelope. In addition, the item can be used to change the clothing of a villager or the player either during or after the designing process for screenshot purposes.
